 There are many different interpretations of the terms "homeschool" and "Futoko." Without a common understanding, misunderstandings and misconceptions can occur.

 There are differences in their perspectives and points of view.

 Support for truancy is characterized by diverse and free learning practices. There is a big difference in how approach is taken with the idea that "even if they don't attend school now, they will return to school someday," or "they will eventually follow the same career path."

This is the category that insists on switching to homeschooling instead of calling it Futoko.

 There is a distinction between schooling and other forms of education, based on an understanding of what is meant by "regular education."

 Homeschooling (or home education) as free education includes learning that is in line with the National Curriculum Guidelines and can be recorded in the school guidance records. Therefore, it is a freedom of choice for students to go on to higher education from free education, unlike the awareness of returning to school.

This is an important perspective that requires the development of a home schooling system in Japan.
